Kodomo no Hi
May 5th was Kodomo no Hi - Children’s day- in Japan!
On this day Koinobori (carp streamers) are put up. I’ve always wanted to see and take pictures of them. Unfortunately being in Tokyo where many people live in apartments where they’re not allowed to hang things like these up, they can be quite hard to come by. I found out that in a park near Takadanobaba station, people had put up lots of koinoboris since they weren’t allowed to do so at their homes. So off I went!
I managed to find one on my way to the park! This was the only one I saw that day that wasn’t in the park.
