Ninjas and Kyoto at Night

On the third day of our trip, we decided to wander outside of Kyoto and head to Iga Ueno to go to the ninja museum!

The museum is interesting but there’s really nothing much else to do in the area >_< There’s a castle but it was under construction the day we went. Considering how it took us so long to get there (from Kyoto) I’m not sure if I would recommend people to go unless you’re really interested in ninjas!

Anyhow, pictures!

Ninja trains!

Stuffed ninjas like these were placed all over the station haha

A guide showed us around the ninja house and showed us the little trap doors and places to hide things and people so it was pretty cool!

Ninja in hiding!

And then there was a museum!

Shoes they use to walk on swamps(?)

After that and a long trip back to Kyoto, there wasn’t much time to do anything else so we wandered around Gion and took pictures of the stunning night views (my pictures don’t do it justice D:) before calling it a day~

Ponto-cho - another spot that people go to for geisha spotting
