Shitamachi Museum, Ueno Zoo, Setagaya Boro-ichi

On Saturday my friend and I went to the Ueno area to make good use of our Grutto Passes and explore Ueno more because we hadn’t been back there since that one time we went to the museum!

First we went to the Shitamachi Museum which was pretty good especially because they had those old school games which are so frustrating but yet so exciting!! And so satisfying when you finally win : D

Yeah! I won : D

This one took us so long! But we did it in the end : D

Then we walked around Ameyayokocho and had kaiten zushi and taiyaki before exploring more of Ueno Park : D

My sakura taiyaki!

The remaining part of the Ueno Daibutsu

Then we revisited the Toshogu Shrine in Ueno where we were stopped by this random guy who talked to us for like half an hour~ his English was really good and he had a lot of really interesting things to say! But it got colder and colder the longer we stood there so by the time we went to Ueno Zoo we were freezing!

Galapagos Tortoise - looks dead D: but it was just sleeping!

Then we headed to Setagaya for the last day of the Setagaya Boro-ichi which is like this flea/antiques market! It has like a 432 year long history or something : O And there were loads of people, lots of interesting items on sale, and lots of yummy festival food! : D It was cold but lots of fun : D
