Okinawa - Day 3 - Gyokusendo Cave, Okinawa World
Christmas! It was raining so hard unfortunately : ( But still, being able to wear a t-shirt on Christmas was awesome :D We went to Okinawa World!
We saw the Gyokusendo Cave first. I think it’s the second longest cave in Japan or something like that.

After the cave goodness there was fruit goodness! Well, it was like a walk with trees and stuff where fruits go on and then there was a store for fruits and fruit juice and the like.

I didn’t know pineapples grew like this! I thought they grew on trees like coconuts…
Then we got to see a replica of a traditional Ryuku village. It was raining really hard so we didn’t stop to see much. There are little workshops around the village but you have to pay to take part so that was a no for poor me D:

A Shisa made from plants :D
And then we got to watch an Eisa performance! (No pictures allowed so here’s wiki!) and it was amazing! I loved it :D I also love how throughout the trip we would see groups of people practicing Eisa at parks. A lot of them were younger children too! Keeping tradition alive :)
After that, we went back to Naha. We bought the railpass and explored some stations a little but there wasn’t much to see D: So we went back to Kokusaidori for some Starbucks Christmas drinks to celebrate Christmas. And after chilling at starbucks for a bit, it was karaoke time! Christmas karaoke :D and my first time in Japan too (I know, it took me long enough =P)! Lots of fun :) Then when we got back to the hostel, they were having a Christmas party. Our hostel is run by young people who are kinda hippie-like and who like to party. So we joined in for a little bit (and talked to a Bulgarian socialist!) before heading to bed.

Merry Okinawa Christmas :D
