Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum

A late post about last Saturday! I’ve been busy with papers and a presentation these past few days so I haven’t been able to update but school’s out for the winter holiday and I’m heading to Okinawa tomorrow morning so I want to get these pictures off my camera!

On Saturday my friend and I decided to use our grutto passes to go to the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum! We spent most of the day there! The museum is in a park and is a collection of many different houses from the olden times. I found it very interesting!

The bathhouse in Spirited Away was modeled after this very bathhouse!

Uh… what!? haha

Kintaro!!

There was also this strange event going where two teams of people had balloons attached to them and they had to try to burst the other team’s member’s balloons. The strange thing was that the ‘leaders’ of the teams were Napolean and a samurai guy o_o Napolean vs. Samurai… uhhh what!? Interesting… didn’t stick around long enough to find out which team won though.

Napolean…

Samurai…

Afterwards, we headed to Harajuku for a little shopping. While wandering around we found ourselves in Omotesando and got to see the illumination there! :D

And that’s the end of that! I am so excited for Okinawa! :D
